This is very sad news.Never knew him but I heard that he was a nice and humble person.
KINGSTON, Jamaica, Tues. Mar. 31, 2009: A Jamaican model who once appeared in Vibe magazine and was voted first runner up in the Sexiest Man In the Caribbean contest on the Oprah Winfrey Show in the late 1990s, is dead.
Kirk Headley, 31, reportedly committed suicide late last week and was reportedly discovered dead at the upscale Paddington Terrace residence of his parents in Kingston, Jamaica.
The Jamaica Observer claims his body was found hanging outside the house early Thursday morning and the police suspect suicide but are continuing their investigation.
Headley was the grandson of the celebrated former West Indies cricketer George Headley and a graduate of University of Technology.
Last year, he was featured in the music video `The Love That a Woman Should Give to a Man,` shot for VP Records recording artist Althea Hewitt.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Headley was suffering from depression for which he was being treated.

I am in shock…
I met Kirk in South Africa in 2004, a wonderful person, very together, he did not smoke…was very spiritual..I even did a workshop about twin souls for him, he loved budism was such a good model..I can’t believe he is gone…
Well I noticed there was a brighter star in the sky..but I didn’t know it was Kirk…
I will love him forever…

I met Kirk when he first migrated to Jamaica from Canada, he was the sweetest guy, very smart, a real gentleman and then he took up modelling and everything just went down hill. I fell out of touch with him for years then saw him again just before I left Jamaica. He was so different, smoking, the sparkle was gone from his smile and eyes (everyone who knows Kirk knows how much he loved to laugh). He told me about his life in Africa and the difficulties he faced, I knew he took it hard but I thought he was dealing with it. I know his parents and his friends tried really hard to help him, I only wish he had found somebody to call, some other alternative….
He was soo smart, so full of life, so promising. I wish this wasnt your answer, but I only hope it brought you the peace u needed…
